Eligibility Criteria for BA Programmes
To apply for an Undergraduate (UG) programme like BA, candidates must have completed their 10th level and Plus 2/Pre Degree/HSE or an equivalent level of education.

All applicants must apply online through the university’s official admission portal. Direct applications are not accepted. It is mandatory to have a valid Indian mobile number and an email address for communication.
Applicants can select up to three Learner Support Centres (LSCs) of their preference anywhere in Kerala. The LSC will be allocated based on availability.

- Click on the name of your desired BA programme to view its details, including overview, outcome, curriculum, and fees.
- Add your essential qualification details (10th level and Plus 2/Pre Degree/HSE/Equivalent Level) on the qualification page.
- Upload supporting documents for your qualifications.
- Upload identification-related documents, Transfer Certificate (mandatory for candidates below 45), and Caste/Income/NCL Certificates if applicable.
- Upload your photo and signature. An image cropper tool is available for editing.
- Select your preferred Learner Support Centre (LSC).
- Pay the first semester fee, which includes the admission fee and first-semester fee. Ensure your category is correct before payment, especially if eligible for fee concession.
- After successful application and fee payment, monitor your application status through the student dashboard for further instructions.
Fee Payment Information
All fees for SGOU programmes must be paid online only through the university’s official portal. The university does not accept direct payments from learners.
The amount to be paid for each service, including the first semester fee (admission fee + first semester fee), will be displayed on the screen during the payment process. SGOU has not published the specific fee amounts for BA programmes for the 2026 session as of 02 October 2026.
